This includes diversification and stabilisation of our core private fundraising programme while reimagining our future model to secure income to drive sustainable impact.
The NextGen Fundraising Development Lead is a key player in leading an international network of stakeholders across the organisation who will drive strategic projects and initiatives to help maintain current and attract new, donor and supporter segments through innovative, relevant offers and donor journeys.
We are looking for an individual with strong project, team, and stakeholder management skills to project lead key pillars of the NextGen Initiative’s efforts to:
- Develop Plan’s future approach to current core fundraising program, diversify and future-proof the portfolio through prototyping new concepts and scale proven alternatives; and
- Improve current core fundraising program’s marketing and external communications to grow acquisitions by aligning with research insights, showcasing impact and building digital marketing capabilities.
A member of the NextGen Programme and a part of the Global Fundraising Support Team, the Lead will work closely with both the teams to effectively steward key initiatives to deliver programme objectives to strengthen Plan’s individual private giving portfolio. They will work with Sponsorship and fundraising teams from across Plan, including Regional and Country Offices and National Organisations, and key departments within Plan’s Global Hub including Communications, IT, Legal and Risk, and Programmes. They will collaboratively lead and develop project plans and ensure key project milestones are met. They will ensure that tasks are delivered on time, manage multiple demands, initiate activities, and be personally committed to Next Gen Sponsorship critical mindsets.
The Fundraising Development Lead will be required to co-facilitate working groups composed of diverse staff from across our global operations, as well as to indirectly manage teams consisting of both internal and external members. They will strive to build meaningful engagement, develop the team, and encourage team members drawn from across Plan to take ownership, leadership and initiative in driving these critical efforts for the organisation.
They should be an experienced professional able and excited to play a central role in a dynamic and critical programme for the global organisation, essential in establishing momentum, building team dynamics, and anticipating and solving problems.

Location: The location of this role can be flexible where Plan International has an office* that can employ on behalf of the Global Hub and you have the pre-existing right to work and live.
Type of Role: Two year fixed term contract
