SustainablePublicAffairs is looking for a public affairs advocate to support our agri-food clients and,
more broadly, the bright #SPA team to advice sustainable frontrunner clients that want to make an
ambitious, positive impact on EU policies.

Qualifications
• 3-5 years of solid EU public affairs work experience, specifically working on agriculture/food
topics, that allows you to “hit the ground running”.
• University degree or equivalent.
• Excellent knowledge of English (spoken and written).
• An analytical mind able to translate technical content into easily understandable summaries
and recommendations. You enjoy delving into the detail whilst seeing the big picture.
• Quick learner with a positive, highly efficient work attitude who can easily switch from
working in a team to work independently.
• Hard worker, willing to go the extra mile, and quality-focused with a keen eye for detail.
• Willingness and interest to work on a range of other topics.
• A kind person and a team player, someone who enjoys contributing to the team spirit and
hanging out with colleagues from time to time

Key responsibilities:
• Direct point of contact for clients, including managing client calls.
• Understand what the client needs and translate this into unique strategies and narratives for
existing and new EU policy files.
• Develop a good knowledge of current policy developments and how they are affecting our
clients’ business.
• Devise PA outreach strategies on European policies related to environment and climate.
• Set-up and attend meetings with policymakers and other key stakeholders.
• Provide supporting analyses for the drafting of position papers, briefings, speeches and
presentations for sustainable frontrunner clients.
• Establish a strong network with policymakers, industry/trade associations, media, and others
to raise the profile of clients’ issues and solutions.
