Place of employment: Brussels. Occasional travel to other Members States and to Strasbourg during
the plenary session.

he Renew Europe Group is seeking to recruit administrative assistants to support its secretariat. We are
currently looking for candidates with expertise in the following areas:
- Committee work
- Press & Communication
The assistant fulfils a supranational function within the Renew Europe Parliamentary Group Secretariat
and assists all Renew Europe Members and administrators in the carrying out tasks, which within the
context of organisation of the Group require office management skills and expertise in using relevant
technology. The work includes, for example: operational assistance for a unit/working group,
coordination of work between units, compilation of dossiers, drafting/typing of notes & letters in different
EU languages, outlook calendar management, drafting of minutes, room booking, travel arrangements,
preparation of visual materials, providing assistance for the organisation of Group events and other ad hoc
projects in the two above-mentioned areas.
These duties require a good knowledge of the functioning of the EU institutions.
The post in the Secretariat of the Renew Europe Group requires great availability (for example high
frequency of meetings, irregular working hours), flexibility, adaptability to varying workload, as well as
an ability to work well in a team in an international and multicultural environment. Suitable candidates
must, among other things, be capable of grasping wide-ranging issues, be able to respond rapidly to
changing circumstances and communicate effectively.

Job requirements
▪ Candidates must have at least a level of education, which corresponds to:
o post-secondary education attested by a diploma and appropriate professional experience of
at least 2 years (full time), or
o a level of secondary education attested by a diploma giving access to post-secondary
education, and appropriate professional experience of at least 6 years (full time) after
acquisition of the qualifications specified above.
▪ Good knowledge of the functioning of the EU institutions
▪ A thorough knowledge of one of the following languages: English, French or Swedish (language
1). Please note that “language 1” corresponds to native-level proficiency.
▪ Candidates must also have a very good knowledge of English or French (different language than
language 1)
