Role

We are looking for an E-Commerce Strategy and Solutions Expert to join our growing E-Commerce team. 

Context

This role will be reporting to the E-Commerce Solutions Manager, in the Operations solutions department.

  • Contract type: Permanent for employee
  • Location: Brussels
  • Need to travel: Occasional travel required
  • Job schedule: Full time 

Key responsibilities

The E-Commerce Strategy and Solutions Expert will

  • Work with the world’s leading posts to turn market demand into actionable insights and business case studies for solutions in diverse areas of the e-commerce value chain such as customs clearance, delivery management and out of home, and returns
  • Define specific business and technical requirements to move from ideation to delivery 
  • Conduct build, buy, partner analysis 
  • Lead cross-functional teams made up of both internal and external (postal) stakeholders to implement new solutions and/or to drive increased adoption of current solutions 
  • Manage program or working groups as required to ensure business continuity
  • Develop and deliver insight driven business reporting to all levels of leadership 
  • Act as a thought leader and subject matter expert by keeping the pulse of changes in the e-commerce landscape and staying abreast of changes impacting the postal world 

Specific duties and responsibilities (a day in the life) may include

  • Lead both business and technical working group meetings 
  • Lead strategy sessions with internal and external stakeholders to ideate and define solutions required to win in global commerce
  • Attend industry working group sessions (UPU, PostEurop, etc.)
  • Lead internal or external knowledge sharing sessions 
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to draft specific business requirements 
  • Work with industry partners to define mutually beneficial alliance models

Your profile

Education

  • Masters’ degree or equivalent professional experience

Experience and Skills

  • 3-5 years relevant experience
    • Program Management 
    • Project development/management 
    • Strategy/Consulting 
    • Technology 
    • Logistics 
    • Solution and/or Experience Design 
  • Excellent English communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Familiarity with MS Office, JIRA, and MIRO
  • Direct experience in e-commerce, logistics, or supply chain technology
