Job Description

The programme coordinator will coordinate the Journalism Funders Forum and the Arts and Culture Funders Forum, supporting their design, implementation, evaluation, and resourcing. The position requires strong experience in programme and network management, with a focus on fostering collaboration among philanthropic actors, civil society, cultural institutions, and media organisations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and implement multi-annual programmes in the fields of journalism, media, and arts and culture.
  • Monitor and assess programme implementation, ensuring alignment with Philea’s strategic framework.
  • Develop and manage network budgets, fundraising strategies, and grant reporting.
  • Produce and disseminate reports and publications to document learnings and amplify visibility and impact.
  • Cultivate relationships with diverse stakeholders, primarily funders, as well as civil society, cultural institutions, and media organisations.
  • Support member onboarding and engagement strategies in collaboration with the membership team.
  • Use network mapping tools to identify opportunities for collaboration.
  • Coordinate and nurture self-organising initiatives and spaces for exchange.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for both networks.
  • Oversee network communications, including newsletters and mailers.
  • Represent Philea and its networks at external events and in public communications.
  • Maintain accurate digital records (Odoo, SharePoint, webpages).
  • Contribute to Philea-wide activities including policy and advocacy, membership, fundraising, and flagship initiatives.
Qualifications
  • University degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience coordinating networks in an international organisation or network.
  • Proven track record in programme management, including financial management and stakeholder coordination.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Excellent written and spoken English (C1 level).
  • Strong communication and IT skills.
  • Understanding of and commitment to Philea’s values: trust, collaboration, diversity, and inclusion.
