As political advisor to the Co-Chair your tasks will include:
1. Political Support
-
Provide advice and guidance to the Co-Chair on all EGP-related political activities, following the work of the EGP office in regard to co-chair's related fields of responsibilities and ensuring the constant flow of information in both directions.
2. Media and Communications

Support the Co-Chair’s traditional and social media channels in close coordination with the Communications Unit.

Offer strategic insight on messaging, narrative, and positioning to effectively engage with current global challenges to the co-chair.
3. Speeches and Messaging

Assist in preparing political speeches, messages, and statements.

Support the Co-Chair’s preparation for missions, EGP events, and member party meetings, in collaboration with other staff members.
4. Committee Support

Attend and support the co-chair in preparation of meetings of Petit Comité and EGP Committee
5. Administrative and Logistical Support

Manage the Co-Chair’s mailbox, calendar, and agenda planning, administration of missions.

Serve as a key point of contact internally and for external stakeholders.
The Political Advisor will be part of the Policy, Strategy and Capacity Development Unit and work under supervision of the Head of Unit.
Indicative starting date: position to be filled in as soon as possible.
Requirements

Proficiency in the English language (working language of the organisation)

Previous work experience in similar positions
-
Good organisational and coordination skills, including time and priority management

Excellent people skills, ability to work independently and in multi-cultural teams

Ability to take initiative and problem-solving attitude

Good computer skills and digital literacy
Assets

Previous work experience in similar positions

Understanding and adhering to Green values such as ecology, feminism, anti-racism and social justice

Experience of working in a political environment: within a Green Party, another political organisation, an international institution, an NGO or a campaign organisation focused on EU politics.

Salary range for Grade 3 “Manager / Officer / Advisor “: 3.340 EUR – 4.100 EUR based on the previous relevant work experience, subject to Belgian tax law.

A teleworking policy with monthly allowance for working from home, and policy for working from abroad.

An occasional opportunity for work travel around Europe.
Work location
The work is mainly located at the European Green Party headquarters: Rue du Taciturne 34, 1000, Brussels, Belgium; with occasional travel, both in Belgium and abroad.
