Job Description
As Project Lead you will be responsible for contributing to EIT Digital EU funded opportunities scouting and driving participation in projects funded by European Commission and other International and National agencies, as well as tenders at European and National level. She/he is assigned the coordination and execution of EIT Digital activities in one or more projects, including technical and financial reporting. The Project Lead performs his/her tasks by liaising with the Ecosystem/Education/Innovation functions responsible for the area to which the projects are assigned to, as well as with other support departments to ensure compliance of activities to both external regulations and internal best practices (finance, legal, procurement).
Main Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for the organization, planning and managing EIT Digital participation in assigned projects liaising with the Ecosystem / Education / Innovation / Investment Leaders responsible for EIT Digital strategy execution in the relevant area.
- Ensure the highest quality of project reporting, coordinating contributions from all departments involved in the delivery, as well as from finance and other supporting departments.
- Be the unique contact point for the project or tender with the funding agency and/or consortia.
- Liaising with project or tender partners, organize and manage the preparation and timely delivery of deliverables and reports to the funding agency, ensuring their quality.
- Collect, monitor and integrate financial and administrative data from project partners. Prepare them for submission to the funding agency in cooperation with the finance team.
- Organize and manage effective consortium-internal communication channels.
- Support the collection, monitoring and integration of data to support EIT Digital’s projects portfolio management activities.
- Contribute to the EU Project Portfolio Team and overall EIT Digital knowledge sharing and upskilling management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Postgraduate, STEM preferred or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience; work experience in grant management of innovation projects.
- At least 5 years of proven project management experience in the implementation of projects funded by different Programmes of the EC, such as Horizon 2020/Europe, Digital Europe, ERASMUS+, COSME, etc..
- Strong track record in developing grant and tender proposals and supporting building successful consortia.
- Proactive, autonomous and team-oriented professional with an entrepreneurial mindset, and excellent communication skills.
- Excellent knowledge of projects administrative and financial aspects.
- Excellent network with the European and national funding agencies, and with the European Academia, RTOs and Industry.
- Knowledge of IT tools supporting project management.
Languages
Excellent command of English is required. Additional EU languages are considered an asset.
Employment
This is a full-time position. Employment in one of our pan-European network of Co-Location Centers / HUBs can be considered. Applicant may be required for occasional travel to other European Co-Location Centers.
