Job Description
EIT Digital is looking for a highly motivated professional to lead and support its professional education activities, with a primary focus on developing and delivering bespoke training projects targeting public institutions and other key stakeholders. The role sits within EIT Digital’s Entrepreneurial Academy, which encompasses the Professional School, the (d)Academy, and other lifelong learning formats. The Education Lead will be responsible for orchestrating the full lifecycle of these training projects, from opportunity identification and programme design to stakeholder coordination and implementation, ensuring operational excellence and measurable outcomes.
These education activities directly support EIT Digital’s mission to drive digital transformation and innovation capacity in Europe, particularly by strengthening public sector readiness and institutional capabilities through targeted upskilling.
The position reports to the Head of the Professional School.
Main Responsibilities
The core responsibility of this role is to lead the development and delivery of bespoke, organisation-specific professional education projects, particularly those aimed at public institutions. This involves working across internal teams, academic partners, and external stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment, quality, and impact.
Other responsibilities may also include:
- Driving the growth, quality and visibility of the Professional School and its portfolio of executive and continuing education offers.
- Supporting the expansion of the (d)Academy as a digital platform for upskilling and reskilling.
- Contributing to the design and delivery of EU-funded education projects aligned with EIT Digital's mission.
- Coordinating with institutional partners, academic collaborators and internal teams across education initiatives.
- Ensuring timely and effective implementation of education-related KPIs, outputs and impact targets.
- Supporting strategic reporting and planning activities as needed.
- Contributing as needed to other EIT Digital education activities, including the Master School.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in the digital innovation or technology sector.
- Proven experience in the design, coordination and delivery of education or training programmes, particularly in professional or executive learning contexts.
- Demonstrated ability to manage operational processes and coordinate across diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to deliver on time and within scope.
- Excellent analytical skills, including experience with data collection, monitoring, and reporting on educational outcomes.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel); familiarity with SharePoint and data visualisation tools is a plus.
- Comfortable working independently in a dynamic, multi-stakeholder environment with a proactive and hands-on mindset.
- Ability to manage deadlines and track delivery against KPIs, budgets, and project plans.
- Familiarity with financial and reporting processes related to project- or programme-based delivery.
- EU project experience is a plus.
- Aptitude for structured problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Languages
Mastery of English, with superior verbal, presentation and written communication skills. Knowledge of any of these languages: French, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, German, Finnish, Swedish or Hungarian is a merit.
International travel
The Education Lead is expected to travel regularly within Europe, as needed for project purposes.
Place of employment
Preferably at the EIT Digital office in Brussels, although location at one of the EIT Digital European offices with easy connection for travel in Europe will be considered.
