Ensure fulfillment by EFTA states of their obligations under EEA Agreement; ensure application of the rules of EEA Agreement on competition; monitor application of the EEA Agreement by other Contracting Parties. To this end: take decisions and other measures in cases provided for in EEA Agreement; formulate recommendations, deliver opinions and issue notices or guidelines on matters dealt with in EEA Agreement; cooperate, exchange information and consult with the European Commission.
