Intern Energy Programme – Energy, Resources and Climate Change (ERCC) Unit

We offer a full-time internship for the period of six months, starting from May/June 2026. The selected
candidate will be eligible to receive expense reimbursement up to 850 EUR/month upon receipt of
justifying documents during the internship. If the selected candidate is a recent graduate on the CIP
scheme, they will receive the legal CIP reimbursement. The internship is based in Brussels and will take
place in-person, but some teleworking might be possible for a limited period.

Applications should include the following documents, all in English, compiled into a single PDF document:
i) a one-page letter of motivation
• Please explain your interest in working on methane emissions in the energy sector and your
potential contribution to this topic.
• Please confirm in your letter that you are available to start the full-time internship in
May/June 2026 and to relocate to Brussels for the majority of its duration.
ii) your CV
iii) two written examples of work in the fields relevant to this post (e.g. a journal publication, a project
report, a university assignment, etc). If the written example has more than one author, please
specify in the letter of motivation which parts you have written.
