Eurochambres – the association of European chambers of commerce and industry –

We are currently seeking to recruit a full-time Senior Project Manager to join the
Eurochambres project team to fulfil the role of Project Director for the Türkiye-EU Business
Dialogue II (TEBD II) project. TEBD II seeks to bring Turkish chambers, business
communities and their counterparts in the EU closer to each other, fostering mutual
knowledge and understanding. The project furthermore seeks to ensure higher awareness
of the opportunities and challenges of a potential future Türkiye’s accession to the EU in
both Türkiye and the EU.
The project is organised in three main strands:
1) Cooperation activities between Türkiye and European chambers of commerce and
industry and business communities
2) Capacity building activities for Türkiye and European chambers of commerce and
industry
3) Support to the EU-Türkiye chambers partnership grant scheme
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will lead and manage the TEBDII project team, made up of 4
people, and will be in charge of overseeing the project implementation:
• Leading and guiding the team members for the correct and successful
implementation of project activities,
• Monitoring the projects’ implementation in line with the established monitoring and
quality control framework,
• Establish and review annual work plans together with the team members,
• Act as intermediary of the project with the contracting authority,
• Coordinate and draft technical and financial reports for the contracting authority,
• Promote the project with relevant stakeholders in the EU and in Türkiye on the
occasion of policy related actions,
• Oversee the project’s communication and dissemination in collaboration with the
TEBD II team members.
Requirements:
• Minimum 6 years of EU funded project management experience, preferably external
action/European neighbourhood programmes;
• Proven team leadership record, managing multicultural teams;
• Sound knowledge of EU PRAG rules;
• Strong organisational capacity and the ability to multi-task;
• Strong analytical skills, rigorous approach;
• Excellent spoken and written English and good knowledge of at least one other
European language;

• Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and
similar tools;
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and in writing;
• Ability to work both in a team and autonomously;
• Availability to travel regularly in the EU and to Türkiye.
Advantageous:
• Knowledge of the EU’s policies linked to sustainability;
• Understanding of the EU – Türkiye dialogue and of the Türkiye EU accession
process;
• Knowledge of SharePoint and other project management tools.
