Tech Policy – Public Affairs – Account Manager

And what exactly are we looking for?

We are looking for an Account Manager to support our growing Tech team. Ideally you have a hands-on attitude and you are not afraid to take action. You also enjoy teamwork and have an excellent eye for detail.

The role includes coordinating diverse projects, drafting reports and policy briefings, participating in strategy meetings, identifying research needs, cooperating with other senior colleagues and guiding junior members of the team on current and upcoming tech projects.

Essential:

• EU national or Belgian work permit holder
• Perfect command of English; additional languages are an asset

• A client-oriented mindset, ability to lead projects and teams and deliver high quality outputs
• Advanced writing skills and ability to summarise complex issues
• Excellent communication skills; ability to adapt writing to different audiences
• Strong organisational and project management skills, proven through concrete previous examples
• Flexibility, enthusiasm and ability to work under tight deadlines in an international environment

Experience and Knowledge:

• 3-5 years of relevant work experience in one or more of the following:
  • Public affairs consultancy, EU or international institutions, public affairs role in-house in a company, a trade association or an NGO
• Solid, demonstrated knowledge of the key tech policy files (e.g. platform rules, audiovisual, IP, privacy, artificial intelligence, telco, digital finance)
• Experience with policy monitoring, project management, communications, traditional media relations, and/or social media campaigns would be an asset
